Planning Committees/Boards
Community Development Authority
The Community Development Authority advises the Village Board on development/redevelopment proposals in TIDs #3 and #4, including facilitating private development initiatives, recommending public improvements and economic development assistance, and acquiring and assembling properties for resale to developers.
Landmarks Commission
The Landmarks Commission educates citizens about the historic heritage of McFarland, promotes the preservation and restoration of historic structures and sites, and reviews requests for repairs, additions, and alterations of structures within our historic district.
Plan Commission
The Plan Commission considers planning and zoning issues and makes advisory recommendations to the Village Board. Typical issues the Plan Commission considers include platting of land, site/design plans, rezoning requests, conditional use permits, annexations and updating the Comprehensive Plan.
Board of Zoning Appeals
The Board of Zoning Appeals hears and decides on requests for variances to building, zoning, and sign code ordinances and appeals of administrative decisions on the application of building codes.
