Juvenile (Under age 17) Non-Traffic Ordinances
Some violations are mandatory court violations requiring a parent to accompany the juvenile. Other violations do not require a court appearance if you do not wish to contest the violations. It will state on your citation if your violation requires a court appearance.
If you do not wish to contest your violation, AND your violation does not require a court appearance, a cash deposit in the amount stated on the face of your citation may be made payable to McFarland Municipal Court. In that situation, if your payment is made prior to the scheduled court appearance date your non-appearance will be considered a plea of No Contest and the cash deposit will usually serve as the fine/forfeiture for the offense.
However, the Court is not bound to accept the amount listed on the citation as the fine/forfeiture for the violation and may impose a different penalty and/or summon you to appear in Court at a later date.
Juvenile appearances are on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 5:00 p.m.
