DRUG ARREST
On Wednesday July 14 2010, at approximately 11:05pm, a McFarland Police Department Patrol Officer, stopped a vehicle on Voges Rd, for speeding. The vehicle was a rental vehicle driven by 43 year old Odell Lewis JR from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. During the Traffic investigation, The Officer located approximately 908 grams (approximately two pounds) of marijuana in the back seat of the vehicle and a large amount of US currency on Lewis.
The McFarland Police Department was assisted by a UW-Madison Police Department K-9 Officer.
Lewis was booked into the Dane County Jail on the charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana within 1000 feet of a school. The case has been referred to the Dane County District Attorney's Office for the above charge.
FELONY OWI
On Wednesday, July 7, 2010 Village of McFarland Police Department patrol officers arrested 34 year old Jeremy P. Jensen of McFarland, for 4th offense Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated. With the new OWI law going into effect on July 1, 2010 this offense is considered a Felony offense. Jenson was convicted of his third OWI on February 9, 2009 in La Crosse County.
The vehicle that Jensen was operating was stopped on Farwell St. in McFarland at 11:19pm Wednesday night. After the investigation, Jensen was arrested, and taken to the Dane County Jail where he was booked in on Felony Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated. Jensen was also arrested for Operating After Revocation and failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device. Jensen is also being held on a warrant from La Crosse County.
