a. Motion to approve the Minutes of the Village Board meetings of January 9 and
January 23, 2012.
b. Motion to approve pre-paid checks #55341-55415 in the amount of $166,516.65 and current checks #55416-55538 in the amount of $227,141.97.
c. Motion to approve the recommendations from Police Chief Sherven that the Alcohol
Beverage Operator’s License applications submitted by Barry Dean Charlesworth (McFarland Liquors), Charles Thomas Fox (5100) and Lynn Lorraine Sawall (American Legion) be approved and that the licenses be issued.
d. Motion to appoint Sylvia Krepski as an Election Inspector for a term commencing on
January 1, 2012 and expiring on December 31, 2013.
e. Motion to accept Department Reports.
f. Motion to accept Board, Commission, and Committee meeting Minutes.
5. BUSINESS.
a. Action on a recommendation from the Public Safety Committee that the Alcohol
Beverage Operator’s License for Josalyn Fillner (Parkside Pub) be denied.
b. Action on a recommendation from the Public Safety Committee that a permanent prescription drug drop-off receptacle (MedDrop Program) be placed at the Municipal Center.
c. Informational item from the Public Safety Committee – The Committee discussed and it was their consensus that the Village should not amend the Municipal Code to permit Class “A” and “Class A” retailers to sell alcohol beginning at 6:00 a.m. as is now allowed (at local option) by a recent change in state statutes.
d. Action on a recommendation from the Finance Committee that the proposed “Accounting and Audit Policy” be approved.
e. Action on a recommendation from the Finance Committee that the proposed “Policy on Capitalization of Fixed Assets” be approved.
f. Action on a recommendation from the Personnel Committee that the Personnel Policy Manual be amended to prohibit smoking in all types of vehicles and equipment, whether enclosed or open, that are owned, leased, or borrowed by the Village.
g. Action on a recommendation from the Parks and Recreation Committee that the Village apply for grant funding available through the Dane County PARC grant program for extending the proposed Lower Yahara River Trail through McDaniel Park and provide a connection to the existing path on Taylor Road and then through the Village.
h. Board, Commission, and Committee agenda item requests and referrals.
6. REPORTS.
a. Public Announcements
(1) Dog and cat licenses and dog park permits have expired and must be renewed for 2012.
(2) Spring Primary Election to be held on February 21, 2012 for the office of Circuit Court Judge – Branch 11.
(3) Income Tax Preparation Assistance – Feb. 24

7. CLOSED SESSION.
a. Motion to convene in Closed Session in accordance with Wis. Stats. §19.85(1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee over whom the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility (employee performance evaluation).
8. OPEN SESSION
a. Motion to adjourn the Closed Session and reconvene in Open Session to act on items of business discussed in Closed Session.
